Subject: Important Update on MCSS Leadership

Dear Parents of Millwoods Christian School (MCS),

I want to share an important update regarding a leadership transition at Calvary Community Church and the Millwoods Christian School Society (MCSS). After much prayer, discernment, and discussion with our elders, I’ve come to the difficult decision that we need to move in a new direction for leadership as we enter the next season of ministry. As a result, Pastor Doug Zieber will be concluding his role as Executive Pastor of Calvary and as Executive Director of the MCSS on October 30, 2025.

Pastor Doug has served with deep love, integrity, and faithfulness. We are profoundly grateful for his many years of ministry, impact, and care for Millwoods Christian School. Pastor Doug’s character and heart for God’s people are not in question. So, it’s important for you to know that there has been no moral failure or misconduct.

Out of respect for Pastor Doug and his wife Tina, these conversations have been handled privately, as we would all desire for ourselves. So, I ask that you honor their privacy by avoiding speculation or the sharing of details that are not yours to share. False narratives – whether spoken or repeated – can be deeply destructive to a school community and, more importantly, dishonoring to God. Instead, let’s lead with empathy, grace, and integrity (Eph 4:29).

While the announcement has been shared publicly during our service at Calvary, I wanted you – as a valued parent of MCS – to hear it directly from me.

Please continue praying for Pastor Doug and Tina and for the ministry of MCSS and MCS as we walk forward together in unity and anticipation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to info@mcssociety.org or come talk to me or the president of the MCSS, Benj Vandenbrink.

With love and gratitude in Christ,

Pastor Barry Regier
