Millwoods Christian School (MCS) began in 1978 as a private school that was a ministry of Calvary Temple, now Calvary Community Church.
MCS’ first curriculum was from Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) and, in 1985, a decision was made to switch to the Alberta Program of Studies.
In 2000, MCS entered into an agreement with Edmonton Public School Board (EPSB) to become an alternative faith-based school.

What an incredible moment it was to walk into a High School chapel and see and hear so many young people worshipping God and experiencing His presence! I am very excited about what God is doing this year at Millwoods Christian School. We are also so grateful for every staff member, every student and every family God has blessed us with and for a great sense of unity. It’s also great to see the Holy Spirit inspiring our high school students to lead prayer and worship initiatives.
Our sincere desire is that each child will experience a greater measure of God’s love and come to discover their identity in Christ. These themes are not only embedded in our chapels and curriculum the entire year but we’ve also reinforced the message throughout our hallways that:
– Every child is created in God’s image.
– Every child is loved and cherished by God.
– Every child should have the opportunity to discover their identity in Christ, as a child of God.
– Every child deserves to feel welcomed, cared for, safe, and respected as a unique individual.
Thank you for your participation, and more importantly, your prayers, for God to move in a great way over our school this entire year!
